What can you do with a can of crescent dinner rolls? You can surprise your friends and family with this light and flakey ready in a flash danish. The centers are generously filled with a sweet cream cheese filling and then topped with your favorite fruit preserves. Make these danish even sweeter when you drizzle them with cream cheese icing.

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
Cream Cheese Filling:
1 8-ounce package of cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons granulated sugar, divided
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon sour cream
8 teaspoons jam or preserves of your choice
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon softened butter
Heat oven to 350°F.
Remove dough from can; do not unroll and cut dough into 8 slices.
Place the dough slices 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet.
Press each dough slice into a 3-inch round, leaving a ridge around the outer edge.
In a large bowl mix together cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and sour cream.
Add the cream cheese filling to the centers of each danish.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Take the danish out of the oven and allow them to cool for 10-15 minutes.
Add a teaspoon of the jam or preserves of your choice to the danish.
